Anji McMullen LLB(HONS) DIP LP NP, qualified as a Solicitor in 2008. Miss McMullen has undertaken work in Civil Law since qualifying and predominantly specialises in Family Law and regularly appears at the Sheriff Court. After having practised initially at Glasgow Sheriff Court, Miss McMullen moved to the Hamilton area and headed the Family Department of a reputable local firm for the past 9 years before opening her own firm in 2021. Miss McMullen predominately appears in Hamilton, Airdrie and Lanark Sheriff Court but has is available and willing to appear in any Court across Scotland.
In addition to Family Law matters, Miss McMullen continues to undertake work in all areas of Civil Law including Child Law, Civil Litigation, Power of Attorney, Guardianship and Wills and Estates.
Miss McMullen receives regular instructions from other firms to appear on an agency basis at local Courts.
Our Miss McMullen is regularly appointed as Child Welfare Reporter by the courts to undertake enquires in respect of contact disputes between separated parents, and where appropriate seek the views of the children and provide a conclusion/recommendation to the Court in order to assist the Sheriff’s overall determination of the case.
McMullen Law offers a free initial consultation in order to assess the client’s individual needs and eligibility for Advice & Assistance and Civil Legal Aid. Where Legal Aid is not an option a payment arrangement can be set up whereby an initial payment to account is received with ongoing monthly instalment payments thereafter.
For clients unable to meet in person, telephone appointments and video calls can be arranged. Furthermore, for clients who are unable to schedule an in person appointment or telephone appointment during office hours, Miss McMullen can arrange out of hours appointments upon request.
